Totally Eighties
In the early '80s, the ACT Club (Academic Creative Theater) began. Operating as an elite theater troupe of students interested in honing their dramatic skills for post-high school work, the ACT Club put on two performances a year.
As advances in technology and the '80s tech boom brought about a thriving student interest in computers and technology, the Computer Club was also born.
Of course, one-hit wonders were common during the loveable '80s. Some "totally '80s" clubs which had a strong but short-lived presence were the Aerobics Club, Dungeons & Dragons Club, and the Ping Pong Club.
