Congratulations to the music department of the college and Dem School for a grand performance of Gilbert and Sullivan. In spite of colds and sore throats, KAY FRYER and JOHNNY WOLFE were able to sing Angelina and Edwin in Trial by Jury," and PHIL SHAFER sang the judge with JOAN BELL, CARL MOOR and JOHN CULLEY singing the supporting roles. Congratulations and orchids to Burney Morris for a swell directing job and Chris Slayden for the posters and staging and to all the others who worked on the production. Saw MARTHA BLACKMAN, DOT LASSITER, VIRGINIA WOLFE, BOB NEAL and ARVA CORDER playing in the orchestra, and CECIL BOLIN and NELL WARREN singing selections from the Mikado. Nice work, keeds!
