Student Life
In the 1940s, high school students had a typical 8am - 3pm school schedule, and took classes such as Shorthand, Mechanical Drawing, Chemistry, Latin, and Public Speaking.
Martin Broadwell ('45) noted that student activity options seemed "endless." Popular clubs and organizations included Girl Reserves, Mixed Chorus, Madrigalians, Forensics, Orchestra, Household Arts, Photographers' Club, and Dramatics.
