Construction of the Main Building
Peabody Demonstration School started in the basement of the Jesup Psychological Building. As the student body grew in those early days, so did the demand for space, and it was decided that the Dem School would get its very own building. Thanks to a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation, construction began in 1923.
